I created JoeLakatos.com because
I needed an online representation of my portfolio and skills. It
is imperative in this day and age that a web-graphic
designer have an online presence for anyone, especially potential
employers, to be able to view their work. JoeLakatos.com is
my forum. JoeLakatos.com is
very extensive as it encompasses many genres of work as well as many
types of projects. You will see web design and graphic design work
in various sub-categories of each cross-section.
I have been a graphic
designer for 19 years and a web designer for the last 9 years. I
can obvioulsy build a website from top to bottom and handle the many
different roles of website creation. I am a dedicated and motivated
individual who enjoys the challenge of learning new skills and growing
as a person, employee, and leader.
I truy hope you like my work and encourage you to email
me if you
would like to discuss me working for or with you on your next project.
I look forward to sharing my skills with anyone in need!

I
created SOS-Treatments.com in
2007. SOS-Treatments.com is
a website dedicated to bringing about change and awareness with
regard to organic solutions for today's issues. Sykes
Organic Solutions (S.O.S.) is a revolutionary new service which
provides the latest innovations in organic landcare treatments.
S.O.S. uses only non-toxic, chemical free ingredients to treat
trees, lawns and gardens. S.O.S. provides an organic treatment
service for all residential, commercial or community landscapes.
On this project, I collaborated
with Erik Sykes, the owner of S.O.S. and created all
the web graphics from scratch or scanned and manipulated from photographs
and images. I am responsible for the web design and development as
well as the setting up his web hosting account and FTPing the files
to the server. The only preset things were some photographs, the S.O.S.
logo, and the text content that I formatted on each webpage. I am particularily
proud of the S.O.S. banner/navigation I created as it is a visual stimulus
of the website's purpose. |

I
created MarinePowerandWater.com in
2007. Marine Power
and Water, Inc. is an energy conversion entity converting man-made
and naturally occurring energy sources, such as flowing water and
wind, into mechanical energy to drive a multitude of mechanical equipment
applications. Marine Power and Water, Inc. was formed
to provide solutions to growing world demands for the pollution free
generation of electrical power, and the production of alternative
fuels and potable water.
On this project, I collaborated
with Ray Hofmann, the president of Hofmann Energy Systems and
was responsible for the web design
and development as well as the setting up his web hosting account
and FTPing the files to the server. The only preset things were
the text content that I formatted for each webpage. I am particularily
proud of the flash animated optical illusion waterwheel logo and
banner I created from scratch. I am proud because I took his existing
logo and expanded upon it to be a web graphic that encompasses the
purpose of his company and website. |

|
I created SittinPrettyFashion.com in
2006. SittinPrettyFashion.com is
a website dedicated to providing the
finest in garment embellishments.
With this project,
I collaborated with Susan Klein, the founder and president of Sittin'
Pretty and created 99.9% of the web graphics from scratch
or scanned and manipulated them from photographs and images. The
only graphic I didn't create completely is the logo of herself
and her dog sitting on a chair. I did though, have a hand in the
logo, as I created the Sittin' Pretty text. I am also responsible
for the overall web design and development. This
was a case where Susan liked another website so I modeled it
after that other website, but obviously expanded
the design to be unique and special to Sittin' Pretty. The only
preset things were a few photos, the Sittin' Pretty logo,
and the text content that I formatted for each webpage. I am particularily
proud of incorporating a flash animation on the home page, all
the individual webage banners, and the overall look and feel of
the website. I also took some of the digital photos used on various
webpages with my digital camera. |

I created Onchemie.com in
2006. Onchemie.com is
the first website I created. Onchemie Pharmaceuticals is a biopharmaceutical
company launched in 2006 based on a proven strategy of rapid development
and commercialization of in-licensed novel oncology drugs that
will be executed by a seasoned and industry-experienced management/founder
team.
With this project, I
collaborated with Larry Bymaster, the president, chief executive
officer, and director of Onchemie Pharmaceuticals. I created all
the web graphics from scratch.
I am responsible for the web design, development, and overall astetic
look. The only preset thing was the Onchemie logo in Excel format
and the text content that I formatted for each webpage. I am particularily
proud of turning the original logo into a web graphic as well as
the Onchemie banner and page header banners for each individual webpage.
I also incorporated the use of a javascript navigation for the first
time. I was very pleased and excited at my very first live website.
Unfortunately, this website is no longer live, but I still have my
files for your viewing pleasure. |

Unfortunately, this website is no longer live, but
I still have my files for your viewing pleasure. |
